Finding Freedom | Giving Life
Finding Freedom | Giving Life
Revelation 19:10 (ESV): “...Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
The Prophetic Promise
Acts 2:16-18 (ESV): 16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel (cited from Joel 2:28-32): 17 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; 18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.’
1. What is Prophecy?
John 10:27 (ESV): My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
Prophecy is hearing God's voice clearly and speaking what He reveals. It communicates the heart, mind, and counsel of God for edification, exhortation, and comfort.
1 Corinthians 14:3-4 (ESV): On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. 4 The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.
Simplified:
“Build them up. Cheer them up. Draw them closer to the Lord.”
Prophecy is both a spiritual gift (manifestation) and a ministry.
It’s available to all believers, though not all are called to be prophets.
2. Spiritual Gifts
Gifts of the Father (Functional / Grace Gifts)
Given by God to shape how we serve in the Body.
Romans 12:6-8 (ESV): 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Manifestation Gifts) Charismata
Given by the Holy Spirit for the common good.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (ESV): 4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.
Gifts of Christ (Equipping / Office Gifts) Domata
Given by Jesus to equip the Church. To build up the Body until it reflects the fullness of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13 (ESV): 11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
3. Prophetic Expression: Gift, Ministry, Leadership Office
Gift of Prophecy | propheteia | speaking forth the mind and counsel of God
The supernatural manifestation gift given to the body of Christ which enables them to receive and communicate a message from God to man through a divinely-anointed utterance to edify, encourage and comfort others. (Owen C. Weston, Ph.D., D.Min.)
All can prophesy (ability) but not all are called (identity) to be prophets.
Occasional use; available to all believers.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11 and 1 Corinthians 14:1-5
Prophetic Minister
Believers who consistently function in prophecy and are recognized for a prophetic flow, spiritual maturity and fruit.
Biblically grounded; prophetic words align with Scripture.
Ongoing use; consistent and accurate.
May lead and activate others prophetically.
Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 14:3; Acts 13:1
Prophetic Ministry Team - Prophetic Company
Relationally connected, submitted, and walk in unity with leadership and one another; not independent or rogue.
Weigh and judge prophecy as a group. (1 Corinthians 14:29)
Maintain and protect a healthy prophetic culture of honor.
Prophetic Leadership Gift | prophetes | a five-fold ministry gift given by Christ to prepare, equip and train believers for their works of service. (Ephesians 4:11-13)
Jesus modeled perfect prophetic ministry. He only did what He saw the Father doing. (John 5:19, John 17:21).
OT and NT prophets are not the same.
Calling (identity), gifting (ability), anointing (purpose).
Mantle stays with the mission/metron (sphere of influence).
Anointing stays with the man/woman.
See link Kris Vallotton Chart “Gift vs Office”
4. Why Prophecy is Important
1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 (ESV): “...do not treat prophecies with contempt.”
Reveals Jesus! He is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelation 19:10)
Builds the Church. Equips and strengthens the Body. (Ephesians 4)
Reveals God’s Heart — His mind, will, and counsel. (Amos 3:7)
Uncovers Destiny — Calls forth identity and divine purpose.
Guides powerful prophetic-led intercession to pray God’s will into the earth.
Brings vision.
Proverbs 29:18 (TPT): Where there is no clear prophetic vision, people quickly wander astray. But when you follow the revelation of the Word, heaven’s bliss fills your soul.
1 Corinthians 14:29 (ESV): Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.
Why Judging is Vital:
Essential for a Healthy Prophetic Culture.
Not all prophetic words are from God. Some are from the flesh or even deception. Unhealed wounds affect perception.
Judging prophecy protects the Church, ensuring messages are edifying, biblical, and accountable.
We are called to test the word, not the person. (1 Cor. 14:29).
Do not quench the Spirit; test all things. (1 Thess. 5:19–21)
How to Judge Prophecy
Is it scriptural?
Must agree and harmonize with the Word and the heart of God.
The Bible is the final authority. Never contradicts His Word. Prophecy will intensify and quicken that which has already been given to us by God.
Brings forth things new and old out of the Scriptures of truth and will make them living and powerful to us.
Does it exalt Jesus?
True prophecy reflects His nature and redemptive plan.
It glorifies Jesus, not the vessel.
What is the fruit?
Brings peace, clarity, conviction; not fear or confusion. (Matthew 7:16)
Does it draw people closer to God and His people?
Builds up community. Has a real lifting power.
Does it bear witness with your spirit?
The Holy Spirit confirms truth internally. (Romans 8:16)
Even if challenging, true words resonate in the spirit.
Was it delivered in love and humility?
Love must guide prophetic expression. Prophecy without love is noise. (1 Cor. 13)
Tone, timing and posture matter as much as content.
Was timing and interpretation accurate?
Some words are true but for a future season.
Misapplication can distort even a valid word.
God speaks our language. Just like our unique fingerprint and eye color, God made our prophetic personality when he knit us in our mother’s womb. It’s tailored and customized to us.
1. God speaks through His word
2 Timothy 3:16 — All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
Psalm 119:105 — Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
2. Through Holy Spirit
John 16:13 — When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
The Holy Spirit teaches, guides, convicts and reveals truth.
3. Through prayer
In prayer, God speaks to our hearts and provides direction and peace.
Jeremiah 33:3 — Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
John 10:27 — My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
4. Through dreams and visions
Acts 2:17 — “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;
5. Through people (prophets, pastors, trusted friends)
God can speak through others to confirm His word, provide wisdom.
Proverbs 15:22 — Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.
6. Through circumstances
God uses events and open/close doors to guide us.
Romans 8:28 — And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
7. Through His creation; nature
Psalm 19:1 — The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
8. Through a still small voice
God speaks quietly to our spirit.
Isaiah 30:21 — And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
9. Through worship and praise
In moments of worship God can speak, reveal, and comfort.
Psalm 22:3 — Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
Finding your prophetic personality is for you to connect with the creator. The prophetic is how God shows up in your world. Personality is how you show up in your world. Prophecy is how God shows up through you to the world.
Hearer
Feeler
Knower
Seer
It’s for divine intimacy with God.
So many of us are unsure what our primary way of hearing God is.
Ask yourself: How did God get my attention in the beginning?
God has been talking to us since we were children. Many do not recognize it as such.
2 Samuel 24:11 — “Before David got up the next morning, the word of the Lord had come to Gad, the prophet, David's seer.”
Seers are the eyes of the room. They’re the ones that God speaks to through pictures, images, dreams, night dreams, day dreams, visions (mini-movies), colors. God uses their imagery and shows them what God is doing.
Seers of the Bible
Jacob and the dream of the ladder stretching from heaven to earth
Joseph dreamed of his future
Solomon asked for wisdom in a dream
Joseph had dreams from God
(Jesus’ earthly father)
Paul in the New Testament
As a seer, always have a notebook by your bed and journal and steward those dreams.
John 11:35 — “Jesus wept.” (It was an emotion)
Emotions are like the gauges on our car. They help us know what is going on. Feelers feel things deeply in their emotions. They can pick up on things in a room. Feelers are often intercessors. Those people have a superpower once they’re aware of the gift they carry. They can feel a region, a room or the person they’re sitting next to and begin to pray and intercede for the situation. God made your emotions and he’s not afraid of them.
Your emotions are signals to what God is saying to you. So if you’re feeling anger when you enter a room or you’re feeling depression, it’s not always you. You’re feeling others, and that is important for a feeler to know. An unhealthy feeler will own everything in the room. A healthy feeler will ask questions.
Feelings are important. They help you locate the way you think.
A knower just knows that they know. They know in their knower!
Job 38:36 — “Who gives intuition to the heart and instinct to the mind?”
There’s no separation between secular and sacred. God gave us our intuition and imagination to reveal things to us through Holy Spirit.
Knowers hold unique wisdom.
You grow in confidence as a knower when over time you stop dismissing that inner knowing as just common sense.
Knowers are spiritual!
Don’t dismiss the beauty of being a knower
I Samuel 3:8-9 — Then Eli realized the Lord was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’”
Hearers are the ears in the room. They are the people that God speaks to through words, phrases, conversations, narratives. You receive God through words. You get downloads. Journaling is a powerful tool for you. His voice will sound like your voice.
1 Corinthians 14:1 (ESV): Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.
1. Pursue the Gift of Prophecy
Pray and ask for the gift. God invites us to desire and develop spiritual gifts, but especially prophecy, because it builds up the Church and reveals His heart.
Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you. (1 Timothy 4:14-15)
Stir up the gift you have (2 Timothy 1:6)
Seek intimacy over gifting. Rooted in love and relationship with the Lord; pursue Him over revelation. (Psalm 27:4)
Prophesy to the measure of faith you carry. Let your confidence grow with maturity and consistency. (Romans 12:6)
2. Steward the Growth
Thessalonians 5:19–21(ESV): Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21 but test everything; hold fast what is good.
Practice and be teachable. Submit words for testing. Prophetic accuracy grows through use, feedback, and submission.
Will require risk-taking. It's okay to miss it as you're growing.
Submit to mentorship; invite feedback and accountability. Safe correction strengthens prophetic integrity and guards against pride or deception.
Prophesy according to your level of authority with the church or individual. Not beyond that realm. Authority determines the approach to release the word (e.g., friend, leader, team member).
Sometimes God shows you something not to speak it, but to intercede and release the opposite of what you saw in prayer.
3. Honor Leadership and Commissioning
Promotion comes from God, through recognized leadership.
Ministry in alignment with leadership fosters trust and fruit.
Lone-ranger prophetic ministry leads to isolation and potential error.
4. Encounter Jesus Face-To-Face in the Secret Place
2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV): And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Prophetic ministry flows from intimacy with Jesus, not performance.
You were created to hear God and reveal His heart.
Remove the noise; hear His voice; learn to recognize His whisper in the quiet.
Practicing His presence postures your heart and sharpens discernment.
Behold Him; anchor your identity in Him. “Being” not “doing”.
Aligns and purifies motives pointing others to God, not the person delivering the word.
Imparts Heaven’s strategies; journal/voice memo to record insights and impressions.
Pair up and ask the Holy Spirit for a Scripture, image, or word of encouragement for your partner. Speak only what builds up and strengthens.
Receiving a prophetic word is not the end. It’s the beginning of a process. How we respond determines how much fruit it bears in our lives.
Write it down or record it.
Pray over it and ask the Lord for clarity and timing. Invite the Holy Spirit to highlight Scriptures or confirmations.
Submit prophetic words to a trusted pastor or mentor to help discern if the word is from God.
Don’t build life decisions solely on a prophetic word. Confirm with Scripture, prayer, and godly counsel.
If unsure, “put it on the shelf”. Time will reveal if it was from God.
Once confirmed, partner with the word in faith. Pray into it, speak it aloud, journal your process, align your words and actions with what God is saying.
Prophetic words are invitations, not guarantees. They require your agreement, obedience, and faith to activate.
1 Corinthians 14:40 (ESV): But all things should be done decently and in order.
1. Understand the Prophetic Culture of the House
Know and respect the protocol of the church or ministry you’re serving in.
Are prophetic words shared publicly, privately, or through a team?
Always be submitted to spiritual authority. Prophetic ministry flows best under covering and in a company.
Prophetic ministry and leadership in agreement with corporate word.
2. Deliver With Humility
Interpretation is Holy Spirit led. Sometimes you receive revelation, but not the full interpretation or application.
Prophetic maturity sounds like: “I sense...”; “I submit this to you…”; “I see…” “I believe I heard the Lord say…” Avoid “Thus saith the Lord.”
No “dates, mates or babies!” These can cause unnecessary confusion or harm when delivered prematurely or inaccurately.
To speak or not to speak? Timing - be led by the Spirit, not driven or anxious. Just because you receive something doesn’t mean it’s time to release it.
Tone - no harsh words; speak faith, hope and love; call out the gold in people, their identity, destiny, and potential.
Respect people’s dignity and privacy. Public words should be appropriate for the setting.
3. Ask Yourself Before Releasing a Word:
Is this from God, or my soul (emotions, will, mind)?
Is this for me, or another person?
Is it for now or a future season?
Does this word edify, exhort, and comfort?
Have I checked it with Scripture or spiritual covering?

Introduction | Angela Martin
We are building a Spirit-empowered prayer team that is supernaturally united and increasingly strengthened to impact lives, confront spiritual darkness and build God’s kingdom with authority and purpose.
It’s a tremendous privilege to be used by God to help others encounter His presence. God desires to bring freedom and healing to every person. And as a prayer team member, you become both a voice for His message of victory and a vessel for His ministry. By offering spiritual support, prayer and encouragement to those who come forward, you play a crucial role in God’s work—He moves powerfully through the prayers of His people!
The Hebrew word for intercession, paga, means “to meet.” The New Brown-Driver, Briggs-Gesenius Hebrew and English Lexicon, (1979) We meet with God to ask Him to meet with someone else. We become the go-between, hence the term “stand in the gap.”
Re-present Jesus, The Intercessor, “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5). The work is already done! We are enforcers in the earth.
Biblical definition: Intercessory prayer is an extension of the ministry of Jesus through His Body, the Church, whereby we mediate between God and humanity for the purpose of reconciling the world to Him. We also stand between Satan and humanity for the purpose of enforcing the victory of Calvary. Intercessory Prayer (Dutch Sheets, 1996)
Intercession without unity becomes witchcraft!
Personal Spiritual Growth — Cultivate and maintain an intimate relationship with the Lord through prayer, fasting, Bible study and worship.
Heart Check — A Prayer of Repentance (Psalm 51:10)
Meditate and Pray on the Whole Armor of God - Be ready for resistance and attacks; pray aloud Ephesians 6:13-19
Pour out in Prayer — Keep the pump primed! Pray in the spirit regularly. Pray for others as the Holy Spirit leads, both during altar ministry and in personal time.
Major In Love, Walk in the Fruit of the Spirit — Be compassionate and gentle in all interactions, reflecting God’s love and kindness. (Galatians 5:22-23)
Ask Holy Spirit to Manifest His Spiritual Gifts Through You — Unity in Diversity (Read 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11)
Authority — Use Your Keys! Have confidence in God’s power.
Scriptural Foundation:
Matthew 10:1 — He gave them power over unclean spirits to cast them out.
Matthew 28:18 — And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”
Luke 10:19 — Jesus says, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”
1 John 4:4 — Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
We will create a consistent experience for every participant with structure allowing the Holy Spirit to operate.
Submit yourself to the Holy Spirit. I often pray, “I submit myself to you Holy Spirit.”
Ask the participant their name and introduce yourselves.
Actively listen to their concerns without interrupting or making assumptions. This not only helps you understand their needs better but also makes them feel valued and heard. Evaluate and discern where the person is in their spiritual journey. If it becomes clear that they haven’t yet accepted Christ, gently guide the conversation toward praying for salvation, offering them the opportunity to receive Him.
Summarize and repeat back the participant’s prayer request to ensure clarity, and then include your prayer partner. Feel free to ask your partner, “Do you feel led to pray or to agree in prayer?” Often, one person may feel a stronger anointing to pray aloud or have a particular burden for the request. Alternatively, both of you may pray as the Spirit leads.
Keep your eyes open during prayer whenever possible, staying attentive to the participant’s reactions. Look for signs such as tears, fatigue, or signs of spiritual struggle, like stiffened posture, clenched fists, or tightened lips. These cues can guide your response, and sometimes, rather than more words, a simple, caring hug may be the most appropriate and comforting response.
Pray with sensitivity to their unique needs and background. Since we are a church of diverse denominations, it’s crucial to respect the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of those we’re ministering to. Please be mindful of cultural differences in how people express their faith. Let’s approach each person with an open heart and a willingness to meet them where they are. God’s love never fails!
Appropriate Touch: Please respect personal boundaries and always ask permission to touch the participant. If you feel led to anoint with oil, please use unscented oil and explain why you feel led to do so and again ask permission.
Sharing a Prophetic Word or Vision:
Before sharing, take a moment to pray and seek confirmation from the Holy Spirit to ensure the word aligns with God’s will and is meant for the person. It may be something the Holy Spirit is showing you to pray into or to share at a later time. If so, share with your prayer partner for feedback.
Share the prophetic word with humility, focusing on encouragement, edification, and comfort. Use phrases like “I feel the Lord is saying…” or “This may resonate with you…” to leave room for discernment.
After sharing, encourage the recipient to pray and seek confirmation themselves. Invite them to weigh the word carefully and see if it aligns with what God is already speaking to them.
Pray in agreement: First, confirm that what they have requested lines up with the word of God. Believe together that God's will is being accomplished as we lift our requests to Him. (Matthew 18:18-20)
Referral to Pastoral Care Team: Let’s discuss different scenarios when additional support might be needed and the best steps to refer someone or a family to a pastor for follow-up. Confessions about harming self or others, suicide ideations or recent attempts must be reported to Pastor Jeremy.
Review: Welcome Lunch, New Believers Class, Next Steps, Growth Track
Know When to Conclude: Keep an eye on the time and consider others who may be waiting for prayer. When you sense a release, speak a blessing over them knowing the Spirit will continue to work in their life. Stay attuned to the Holy Spirit, and recognize when the unction lifts, signaling that “it is finished.”
Large Response of People Come Forward: If multiple people come forward for prayer, divide the team and pray with them. Feel free to invite someone nearby, even if they’re not part of the team, to stand with you.
Break Spiritual Links: After ministering in prayer, I make it a habit to keep the door closed to the enemy by praying a simple prayer to cleanse my spirit before the Lord. I pray, “Lord, I sever any spiritual connections from those I've prayed with today. I reject any contamination, influence, or unclean thing that is not of You, and I return blessings in Your name. In Jesus’ name, amen!”
(Romans 3:23; 6:23; 5:8; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:9-10; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
(Fill in name), if you would like to receive the gift that God has for you today, say this with us.
“Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Thank you that you died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord. Thank you, Lord, for saving me. Fill me with Your Spirit!
In the powerful name of Jesus,
AMEN!!”
Prayer of Faith With Oil (James 5:14-16)
Begin with confession and repentance. Notice that part of this process for a person to recover was for them to confess any sin and be forgiven as part of the healing.
Heavenly Father, we anoint _______ with oil in the name of Jesus. We pray that mercy will cover _________. If there is anything that has come between you and _________ I pray you will forgive them now. Thank you for your healing and their recovery.
In Jesus name,
Amen!
Note: After praying, ask them how they feel. Or, ask them to try and do something they couldn’t do. Pray again if the Holy Spirit leads.
Prayer of Agreement (Matthew 18:18-20)
Heavenly Father, we come into agreement with _______ for their healing. We agree together that the Word of God is true. It can be trusted. We declare according to Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV), “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
We agree for the finished work of the cross to secure _______ healing.
Thank you for all you have done for ________.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
Authority of Faith Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the covenant that has been secured for ______ through Jesus’ blood. You have made every mountain come low and every valley to rise up. You make a way for _______. I speak to ________ body and command you to line up with the blessing of God’s Word.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Please note the following is a short prayer for someone who may be obsessed or oppressed and has something that dominates or preoccupy their thoughts, feelings, or desires abnormally. If you believe someone has come forward that is manifesting a demon, please be calm and locate an available pastor, or those specifically trained to minister deliverance. We will have a private room available for further ministry.
(In Q2-2025, we will offer team training for deliverance.)
1. Repent
Guide participants to identify and repent of their role in their bondage.
Lead them to turn away from sin and towards God’s truths.
2. Renounce
Identify and renounce the enemy’s influence in the participant’s life.
Take authority and rebuke the spirit by name, casting it out in Jesus' name.
Reinforce the authority the participant has in Christ!
3. Bless and Fill
Bless them with the opposite of what was cast out and fill the emptied places with God’s truth and the Holy Spirit’s presence. For example:
Spirit of Bondage > Liberty, Spirit of Adoption (Romans 8:15)
Spirit of Fear > Power, Love and A Sound Mind (2 Timothy 1:7)
Spirit of Infirmity > Spirit of Life (Romans 8:2) and His Gifts of Healings (1 Corinthians 12: 9-12)
Celebrate the participant’s new path of freedom.
Understanding the Request:
You can simply ask, “What do you want to receive from the Lord, and how can I pray for you?”
If a participant desires prayer for Baptism of the Holy Spirit, ask them about their experience. Getting the participant to articulate their request sets up an expectation to release and also activates their faith.
Use Pastor Steve’s iPhone operating system example—they already have the Spirit within like a pre-installed app.
Lead in Prayer
Guide participants in a prayer for Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Lead them to pray: “Jesus, baptize me in the Holy Spirit. Fill me with your spirit.”
Instruct them to pray aloud and worship the Lord. Encourage participants to release their prayer language by faith.
Join with them and pray with confidence in agreement that they will release as promised. (Acts 2:38-39)
As you feel the prompting by the Holy Spirit, lay hands and declare, “Be filled!”
Encourage and Celebrate
Support and reassure them even if they don’t immediately release it.
Celebrate with the participant regardless of the outcome.
Encourage them to pursue in faith.
Post-Prayer Support is crucial for ongoing spiritual growth and healing. Suggest participants fill out a Connect Card, highlight upcoming events, introduce them to others, and greet them when they return the following week. This ensures they receive the support they need and helps them stay connected to our church family.
Share Testimonies! We want to hear how God answered our prayers. There is a link on the website under the “Prayer Force” tab to submit testimonies.
Confidentiality: Stepping forward for prayer requires immense courage and vulnerability. It's crucial to keep all personal information shared during prayer strictly confidential. Our goal is to be a trusted, safe space where people are honored and handled with care.
Avoiding Burnout: Many of us serve in various roles, so it's essential to emphasize the importance of self-care. Receiving and being refreshed is necessary for effective and compassionate service, enabling us to pour out to others. “Compassion fatigue” is a red flag.
Schedule in Planning Center: We would love to have you serve one time per month. Please let us know if you prefer a Sunday to serve or block out dates in Services (Church Center/PCO).
Ministry Teams: We are thrilled to have seventeen members on our altar team! Our current goal is to schedule at least two men and two women each week, with two “rovers” in the center that can move around to the two teams or form a third team, in the center as needed. We plan to pair diverse teams and mix it up at times. For example, having two women and two men paired together. Or not always pairing married couples together. Please be open, and let’s have some fun!!
Team collaboration is vital for a unified and effective altar ministry. Let’s support one another by gathering for pre-service prayer in Studio 2 at 9:00-9:30 AM on the Sunday you’re scheduled to serve. This time spent seeking the Lord together prepares us spiritually and opens up the way for a move of God!
Corporate Prayer: Wednesday Night Prayer & Praise, 7PM.
Prayer Force in the Church Center App: As the Spirit leads, engage in prayer requests posted by a member of the group or those entered that we receive from the church website.
Team Huddle: On the first Wednesday of each month, we will gather after Wednesday Prayer & Praise for a team huddle to review progress, resolve questions or concerns, exchange insights, uplift each other, and provide spiritual support to one another.
Thank you for your willingness to serve! We are praying for you, and we are confident that God will continue to do remarkable things through our ministry.
