WELL ONE: TITHING

Reopening the Well of Kingdom Generosity

Tithing is not a tax imposed upon the people of God, but a grace-filled practice by which we acknowledge that everything we possess already belongs to Him. Abraham gave a tenth to Melchizedek before the giving of the Law (Gen. 14:18–20), and Jesus affirmed the practice of tithing while insisting that it must flow from a heart devoted to justice, mercy, and faithfulness (Matt. 23:23). Grace does not produce less generosity than law; grace opens the heart to become a joyful participant in the generosity of God.

The tithe is therefore both worship and mission. We bring the first portion of our increase to God as an acknowledgment that He is the source of the whole. When God's people practice consistent, joyful generosity, resources are released for ministry, missionaries are sent, churches are planted, the poor are served, children are discipled, leaders are equipped, and the gospel moves into places it could not otherwise reach. The grace-based tithe establishes Christ’s dominion over the corrupt economic systems that enslave the world and release heaven’s prosperity into earth.

At Freedom Life Church, we want to redig this ancient well—not through guilt, pressure, or manipulation, but by recovering the joy of becoming partners with God in His mission. We want to see heaven's generosity expressed through God's people so that earthly resources become instruments of eternal purpose.

PRAYERS

1. LORD, REOPEN THE WELL OF GENEROSITY IN OUR HEARTS

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” — Matthew 6:21

Father, deliver us from fear, greed, scarcity, and the tyranny of mammon. Teach us to see everything we possess as a gift entrusted to us by You. Restore joyful, faithful tithing among us—not as religious obligation, but as worship flowing from hearts captured by Your generosity. Make us a people who give freely because we have freely received.

2. LORD, RELEASE RESOURCES FOR THE ADVANCE OF YOUR KINGDOM

“See that ye abound in this grace also.” — 2 Corinthians 8:7

Father, cause the grace of giving to abound throughout Freedom Life Church. Provide abundantly for every ministry, missionary, outreach, church plant, and kingdom assignment You entrust to us. Give seed to the sower and multiply the resources placed in our hands so that we may become increasingly fruitful partners in the Great Commission. Through our partnership in tithing, graciously extend Christ’s dominion over world economies until the power of mammon is broken in every nation under heaven.

3. LORD, MAKE FREEDOM LIFE A CONDUIT OF HEAVEN'S GENEROSITY

“God is able to make all grace abound toward you…that ye may abound to every good work.” — 2 Corinthians 9:8

Father, do not merely increase what comes to us; increase what can flow through us. Make Freedom Life Church a strategic kingdom resource—a house capable of responding quickly and generously whenever You reveal a need or open a door. Entrust us with resources because You can trust us to release them. May heaven's generosity find expression on earth through the willing hands of Your people.

WELL TWO: PREVAILING PRAYER

Reopening the Well of Prayer That Will Not Let Go

Prevailing prayer is prayer that remains before God until—until the burden lifts, the promise comes to birth, the captive is released, the church is awakened, or God's purpose is accomplished. Scripture repeatedly portrays prayer not merely as quiet reflection but as active participation in the purposes of God: Jacob wrestling through the night, Hannah pouring out her soul, Elijah praying until rain appeared, Jesus offering “prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears,” and the early church continuing together in prayer until the Spirit was poured out.

Paul describes this kind of intercession as “striving together with me in your prayers” (Rom. 15:30). Prevailing prayer engages the whole person—spirit, soul, and body. It may include waiting, fasting, travail, tears, groaning, loud crying, silence, and persistent asking. Its intensity is not an attempt to overcome God's reluctance; it is our participation in God's own desire. The Spirit Himself intercedes within us with groanings too deep for words (Rom. 8:26).

At Freedom Life Church, we want to redig this old well until prayer becomes more than a ministry of the church. We want prayer to become the atmosphere from which every ministry is born.

PRAYERS

1. LORD, RESTORE THE BURDEN OF PRAYER

“As soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.” — Isaiah 66:8

Father, awaken holy desire within us. Deliver us from casual, distracted, prayerless Christianity. Give us Your burdens until what matters to You matters deeply to us. Teach us again to wait before You, to weep before You, and to carry people, cities, and nations in intercession. Holy Spirit, pray within us. Restore travail to Your Church until the purposes conceived in heaven are brought forth upon the earth.

2. LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY UNTIL

“You that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, and give him no rest, till he establish…” — Isaiah 62:6–7

Father, restore perseverance to our praying. Make us a people who refuse to abandon what You have promised simply because the answer delays. Teach us to ask, seek, knock, watch, wrestle, and believe. Give us the persistence of Jacob, the tears of Hannah, the expectancy of Elijah, and the Gethsemane surrender of Jesus. Raise up intercessors who will stand upon the promises of God and pray until something happens.

3. LORD, MAKE FREEDOM LIFE A HOUSE OF PRAYER

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” — Isaiah 56:7

Father, make Freedom Life Church a dwelling place of prevailing prayer. Let every ministry, mission, sermon, outreach, miracle, and kingdom initiative be conceived and sustained in prayer. Raise up watchmen who will take their place upon the wall and refuse to keep silent. Let prayer meetings become furnaces of spiritual awakening. May our tears water the ground from which future generations will reap revival.

Teach us to strive together in prayer until strongholds break, prodigals return, bodies are healed, families are restored, laborers are sent, cities are awakened, and Jesus is glorified.

WELL THREE: HOUSEHOLD WORSHIP

Reopening the Well of the Christian Household

The earliest Christians did not leave the life of the Church at the church gathering—they took the Church home. Acts 2:42 describes a shared rhythm of life: “the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” These practices overflowed naturally “from house to house” (Acts 2:46). The Christian home became a place where Scripture was taught, prayers were offered, meals became fellowship, generosity was practiced, children were discipled, neighbors were welcomed, and the presence of Christ was acknowledged.

The New Testament frequently speaks of the oikos—the household—as a strategic sphere of the gospel. The Church gathered publicly, but it also gathered around tables and within households. Christianity was therefore not merely something believers attended; it became the organizing reality of their common life.

At Freedom Life Church, we want to redig the old well of household worship. We want to recover the spiritual authority and responsibility of the Christian household. Sunday worship should become the beginning rather than the entirety of our spiritual life. We are asking God to fill our homes with Scripture, prayer, communion, hospitality, discipleship, and worship until our houses become outposts of the Kingdom of God throughout our community.

PRAYERS

1. LORD, RESTORE THE ALTAR IN OUR HOMES

“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15

Father, bring the worship of Jesus into the center of our households. Teach parents, grandparents, married couples, singles, and children to seek You together. Restore the reading of Scripture, prayer, blessing, singing, thanksgiving, and the remembrance of Your works within our homes. Let our children grow up remembering not only that we went to church, but that the presence of God filled our houses.

2. LORD, TEACH US TO PRACTICE ACTS 2:42 AT HOME

“They continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” — Acts 2:42

Father, restore the ordinary practices through which extraordinary spiritual life is formed. Let Your Word shape our conversations. Restore fellowship around our tables. Teach us to break bread with gratitude and hospitality. Fill our houses with prayer. Deliver us from outsourcing discipleship to programs and services. Teach us to take Church home, practicing together throughout the week what we celebrate together on Sunday.

3. LORD, RESTORE THE AUTHORITY OF THE OIKOS

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” — Acts 16:31

Father, make our households centers of kingdom influence. Let salvation move through families, friendships, neighborhoods, and generations. Heal marriages, reconcile families, restore parents to their children, and turn children's hearts toward their parents. Open our tables to the lonely, the searching, the broken, and the stranger.

Scatter hundreds of Spirit-filled households throughout our region—homes where Jesus is Lord, Scripture is practiced, prayer is normal, hospitality is abundant, children are discipled, neighbors encounter grace, and the Kingdom of God becomes visible in everyday life.

Make Freedom Life Church not merely a large gathering of individuals, but a strong household composed of strong households.

WELL FOUR: MINISTERS cohort

Reopening the Well of Equipping and Sending Kingdom Ministers

Jesus did not build His Church around spectators, but disciples who become ministers. Christ gives apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry” (Eph. 4:11–12). The fivefold ministry does not replace the ministry of the saints; it activates it. The New Testament therefore reveals an ekklesia functioning in interconnected dimensions: public ministry to the multitude, the equipping ministry of the fivefold, and the distributed ministry of the saints, including churches gathered in households and shepherded by qualified elders and deacons.

At Freedom Life Church, we want to redig the old well of intentionally training ministers. The Ministers Cohort will become an incubator where calling is discerned, character is formed, Scripture is learned, spiritual gifts are developed, and practical ministry is practiced. From this environment we are asking God to raise up fivefold ministers and a mature presbytery of elders and deacons capable of serving and governing household churches under the apostolic oversight of Freedom Life.

We are not merely building ministries inside a church. We are preparing ministers to carry the Kingdom into our community and throughout the world.

PRAYERS

1. LORD, CALL FORTH THE MINISTERS AMONG US

“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” — Matthew 9:38

Father, look upon the harvest and call laborers from among us. Awaken apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, teachers, elders, deacons, missionaries, church planters, and servants whose gifts have not yet been recognized. Give us eyes to see Your calling upon ordinary people. Let the Ministers Cohort become an incubator where hidden gifts are discovered and emerging ministers hear clearly the voice of Jesus saying, “Follow Me.”

2. LORD, EQUIP THE SAINTS FOR THE WORK OF MINISTRY

“For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” — Ephesians 4:12

Father, restore the equipping ministry of the Church. Form ministers whose character can carry their calling. Ground them deeply in Scripture, prayer, holiness, humility, spiritual gifts, sound doctrine, and servant leadership. Raise up fivefold ministers who do not gather ministry around themselves but equip the saints to minister. Build a mature presbytery of elders and deacons capable of shepherding households, guarding doctrine, caring for people, and stewarding the life of the Church.

3. LORD, MAKE FREEDOM LIFE AN INCUBATOR OF KINGDOM MINISTERS

“And the things that thou hast heard of me…commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2

Father, entrust Freedom Life with people whom You intend to send. Make this house a place where ministers are called, formed, equipped, empowered, and released. Let ministry flow from the fivefold into the saints, from the gathered Church into households, and from our households into neighborhoods, workplaces, cities, and nations.

Give us spiritual sons and daughters who will carry the gospel farther than we have carried it. May churches be planted, households be discipled, missionaries be sent, ministries be birthed, and future generations be equipped because we faithfully reopened this well.

Make Freedom Life not merely a place where people receive ministry, but a house where people become ministers.

WELL FIVE: MISSIONS

Reopening the Well of Local and Global Mission

The Church is gathered by the Spirit in order to be sent by the Spirit. Jesus promised His disciples power to become witnesses “in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). From the beginning, Christian mission has therefore moved simultaneously across the street and across the world. The same Spirit who sends us to our neighbors sends us to the nations.

At Freedom Life Church, we believe God is calling us to redig old wells of ministry and mission that extend far beyond our walls. We are asking for a restoration of personal evangelism and organized outreach in our own community—in jails and prisons, nursing homes and retirement communities, public gatherings, neighborhoods, workplaces, and wherever people need to encounter Jesus.

But we are also lifting our eyes to the nations. We are praying for the restoration and enlargement of the global ministry of Pastor Steve Pixler and for other ministers to be raised up and sent from Freedom Life. We are asking God for strategic missions partnerships, short-term missions opportunities, open doors to strengthen pastors and emerging church networks, and supernatural provision to carry the gospel of the Kingdom wherever the Spirit sends us.

PRAYERS

1. LORD, SEND US INTO OUR COMMUNITY

“Ye shall be witnesses unto me…unto the uttermost part of the earth.” — Acts 1:8

Father, restore the evangelistic heart of Freedom Life Church. Fill us with the Holy Spirit and give us boldness to speak of Jesus wherever You place us. Open doors into jails, prisons, nursing homes, retirement communities, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and public spaces. Give us creative opportunities for worship, proclamation, prayer, healing, mercy, and personal witness. Teach us to recognize the mission field already surrounding us. Make every member a missionary and every household an outpost of Your Kingdom.

2. LORD, OPEN DOORS TO THE NATIONS

“Praying…that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ.” — Colossians 4:3

Father, reopen the nations to us. Restore and enlarge the global ministry of Pastor Steve Pixler, and raise up other ministers from Freedom Life whom You will send throughout the world. Give our ministers open doors of utterance to preach the gospel of the Kingdom and invest deeply in pastors, ministry leaders, fledgling churches, and emerging networks of churches.

Connect us with the people, churches, missionaries, and missions organizations with whom You have ordained us to walk. Give us discernment to recognize divine relationships and courage to enter the doors You open.

3. LORD, GIVE US PEOPLE AND RESOURCES TO GO

“Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.” — Acts 13:2

Father, make Freedom Life a sending church. Call missionaries from among us. Give our congregation opportunities to participate personally in missions trips, outreaches, ministry events, and global partnerships. Let children and young people grow up expecting that the Holy Spirit may send them to the nations.

Release extraordinary financial provision for the mission You have entrusted to us. Give seed to the sower so that we can send ministers, support missionaries, strengthen churches, train leaders, serve communities, and respond quickly when doors open.

May resources never determine the boundaries of our obedience. Wherever You send us, provide what is necessary for us to go.

From our neighborhoods to the nations, make Freedom Life a church whose reach extends far beyond its walls.
